Tripura has launched AI Utsav, an initiative that will offer free artificial intelligence courses to students in Classes VI to XII at government schools across all eight districts of the Indian state.
The plan proposes to cover around 1,920 schools. The courses will be offered through the Skill India Digital Hub, the national digital skilling platform of India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
Students who complete the courses successfully will be able to download a national certificate from the platform. The certificate will give them formal recognition for what they have learned.
The National Institute of Technology Agartala, Tripura Institute of Technology, the MSME Tool Room and Training Centre, and NIELIT Agartala will support screening, training, mentoring, and preparation.
