When a fire broke out at an assisted-living home in Glendale, neighbors saw a nurse calling for help and moved toward the building.
ABC7 Los Angeles reported that neighbors Alex Bazinyan and his teenage brother, Narek, helped evacuate elderly residents. Alex said he carried people out one by one.
Seven people, including a neighbor, went to the hospital as a precaution, and all were expected to recover. The home was badly damaged, but the quick response helped residents get out of danger.
“If you can help, that’s the first thing you should do,” Narek told ABC7. “Just always help.”
