Seattle has relaunched its Summer Meals Program, offering free meals and snacks to children and teens ages 1 through 18 at sites across the city while school is out.
In a June 24 announcement, the city says the program runs at 50 locations and does not require ID, proof of address, an application, or any paperwork.
The post says the program served more than 80,000 free meals and snacks in 2025, and that it is designed to reduce pressure on families who may lose access to school meals during summer break.
The details are simple on purpose: show up, eat, and get on with your summer. In a year when many households are still feeling the cost of groceries, that kind of straightforward support matters.
