Three siblings in Florida turned small savings into a thoughtful gift for animals at the Volusia County Animal Shelter.
The children saved money they found throughout the year and used it to buy pet food. On August 5, they brought the donation to the shelter and spent time with Vitorio, one of the dogs waiting for a home.
The visit is part of an annual tradition the siblings have kept for several years. They also played with Vitorio in the exercise yard and tried the shelter’s agility equipment with him.
Their gift was simple, practical and carefully saved for. It gave the shelter useful supplies and gave one dog a little extra company.
